Our Efforts to Keep Everyone Safe
Booking Policy & Guidelines
All bookings will be confirmed 24 hours prior to your treatment via telephone so please ensure the correct number is given when making your booking. If you are more then 5 minutes late to your booking it may be cancelled / rescheduled due to disruption to the subsequent bookings.
More then 2 ‘no shows’ will require a pre-payment for full treatment. This means a booking will need to take place via our website / Treatwell.
Infills cannot be done if you have had a full set from another salon. This is because our nail technician will need to see the quality of your nail bed and ensure that there is no damage and nails are in a healthy condition.
Enhancements and gel polish manicures are guaranteed for 72 hours after your appointment. Traditional polish services are not guaranteed. If you notice chips or lifting on your enhancement within 72 hours, please email us with an image and call us to schedule a repair. You must arrange an appointment to have your nails fixed within 5 days after you have informed us. Repairs after 3 days or for breakages, tears, and corner breaks will be charged. We will not be responsible for any breaking or infected nails after you leave the salon.
Testing Policy
Eyebrow Treatments
All new clients for Eyebrow treatments require a patch test no less than 48 hours prior to treatment. This takes no longer than 5 minutes and will need to be done at the salon. A patch test can be booked on Treatwell or you can call the salon to book this in. This must be completed even if you have previously had a brow treatment previously elsewhere. A patch test is required 6 months thereafter as unknown allergies may form. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or undergoing IVF you will not be able to have Eyebrow Treatments.
Lash Lift Treatments
All new clients for Lash Lift / Lash Lift and Tint treatments require a patch test no less than 48 hours prior to treatment. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or undergoing IVF you will not be able to have Lash Lift Treatments.
Lash Extension Treatments
If you have previously had an allergic reaction to lash adhesive, you must make us aware of this prior to booking your appointment. A patch test will be required which takes up to 15 minutes. This will need to be done at the salon 48 hours prior to your treatment. A few strands of individual lashes will be applied to both eyes using our adhesive and eyepads. This is to ensure that the products work well with your skin. If you experience any adverse reactions (including itching, stinging, burning or swelling) within 24 hours of your patch test, please let us know – this is an indication that you have a sensitivity or allergy to eye lash extensions.
Maison des Ongles has lash cleaning products like lash shampoo and brushes to ensure that our customers can maintain healthy lashes after their treatment. These can be purchased from the salon directly. We ask clients who are contact lens wearers to not wear their contact lenses whilst doing any eye treatments as this could irritate and cause damage to the eyes.
Please ensure the following are removed before your treatment:
-
Contact lenses
-
Eye makeup
-
Creams/sunblock around the eyes
-
Jewellery
Disclaimer
All our lash treatments are bespoke to your natural lashes, eye shape and face. They all come in a range of lengths and curls, both of which will be recommended by your technician upon consultation. Eyelash extensions require a maintenance infill every 2-3 weeks if you wish to upkeep their appearance. Please note that you will notice a natural depletion in the lashes over that time. We do not infill lashes completed at another salon.
All patch tests must take place 48 hours prior to treatments at the salon. We cannot post the test to you. If a patch test is not completed your treatment will be cancelled. Please note that a patch test does not guarantee that you will not experience a reaction during your treatment. It is possible that you can have no reaction to a patch test but then go on to react to a product during or after your treatment. Overexposure to a product over several treatments or a period of time can occur, potentially resulting in a reaction or allergy to a product.
If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or having IVF we would recommend a patch test, especially if you haven’t had eyelash extensions / LVL previously.
